Macsorb®

In the past, things such as operability, handling of equipment, and managing measured data of specific surface measurements were all part of the operator's job. Data could also be corrupted with an operator's measurement errors. The fully automatic BET specific surface measurement "Macsorb" uses a PC to solve this problem by allowing direct control and fully automating each step of the process. Each step, deaeration - absorption- desorption - calibration are continuously running automatically, so once the sample is set, the PC will take over and unattended measurements become possible.

• Human-based errors have been completely eliminated by fully automating all steps, deaeration - absorption- desorption - calibration.
• An automatic calibration function minimizes all impact from outside environmental changes to data.
• The effects from changes in temperature are minimized by holding a constant temperature within the system.
• A new mechanical liquid level sensor for the absorption cell's liquid hydrogen cooling system allows the user to control the fixed position, and delivers higher consistency compared to previous models.
• It is equipped with an automatic SETZERO editing function.
• The system is extremely safe due to no direct contact with the deaeration high-powered heater set inside the device.

PC Software that allows complete control, is easy-to-use, and is highly functional

• The computer shows the TCD response raw data curve in real time, which allows the reliability of the measurement data, the compatibility with pretreatment conditions, and device status to be read from a graph during absorption, desorption, and calibration.
• Measurement detail histories for the following can be saved and compared with past data; specific surface area, actual dimensions, deaeration conditions, cell weight, sample weight, equilibrium relative pressure, amount of absorption, amount of desorption, calibration values, absorption curve, desorption curve, calibration curve.
• The highly functional option software set includes correlation management, revision software, and benchmark powder revision.

A user environment with a flexible system structure is selectable

• A multipoint measurement can be made by selecting or adding each option unit. Furthermore, multiple samples can be measured with preheated units, and the auto sampler allows fully automated operation with a maximum of 30 points.
• Responding to unforeseen accidents is simple due to the main body, auto sampler, and each option all having an independent unit layout. Maintenance can be performed without having to stop the measurement operation.
• It is a compact desktop-style with a reasonable price.
